If you don’t have a private jet that you can fuel, pack with supplies, and send to Port-au-Prince, then your next best option to provide immediate support is probably making a donation online. The FBI reminded us in a press release today to be careful about scams and fraudulent calls for aid. (I can’t even begin to imagine the negative Karmic implications of scamming people at a time like this.) While most of us are savvy to normal online scamming methods, we at Gen Cubed thought we’d compile a list of some of our favorite non profits that are actively helping in the aftermath of the Haiti earthquake.
