Portland, OR. – The first annual Oregon Next Generation Companies award nominees are in place and were approved by a board of local business leaders.  Nominees were selected for their forward-thinking, and triple bottom line focused business practices, which focus on profits, people and the environment.

The goal of Oregon Next Generation Companies is to recognize companies that are truly looking forward and planning for the next generation. The nominees are cultivating and investing in their talent, planning a talent pipeline for future leadership, they are operating sustainably and contributing to the community.  The winners will be surveyed through the month of August. Results of the survey will be published in an upcoming issue of the Portland Business Journal. The Top 10 winners and Top 20 will be honored at an event October 13th at 5:30 p.m. in Portland, Oregon.  The location is to be announced.

Information for Nominated Companies:

All nominated companies received a survey link at the beginning of August 2010 for dissemination to their Oregon workforce. If you did not receive a link, please contact 503-512-5402.  Estimated completion time for the survey is 10-15 minutes. Paper copies of the survey are available as well.  The results will be provided to their companies free of charge.  Utmost confidentiality will be exercised while synthesizing the data and respondents will not be asked to provide their names or specific job title at any point in the survey.
